ALEXANDER J. PASCHALL
YOUR COMMON SENSE VOICE IN RALEIGH
AN INTRODUCTION
I am running to be your next State Senator! I come to you with a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the issues that matter to our community. Over the past six years, I’ve served as an Assistant Public Defender, which has connected me with these issues affecting people’s daily lives. I am committed to using this experience to make Edgecombe and Pitt Counties a better place to live, work, and play.
A MESSAGE FROM ALEX
“Dear Fellow Citizens, As we approach the crucial election, I want to take a moment to speak directly to you, the heart and soul of our community. Your voices, your concerns, and your aspirations are what drive me to serve and to strive for a better future for all of us.
I am running for office because I believe in the power of community. I believe that together, we can address the challenges we face and create opportunities for every individual to thrive. Our campaign is built on the principles of integrity, transparency, and commitment to real, positive change.
But none of this is possible without your support. Your vote is your voice, and it has the power to shape our future. I am asking for your trust, your confidence and your vote.”

About Alex
I was raised in Northern Wake County in a middle-class family; my father was a mechanic, and my mother was a computer programmer. I spent my teenage summers working hourly jobs for a local pool company. Although I attended Appalachian State University and Wake Tech Community College, I finished my B.S. in Criminal Justice at East Carolina University and graduated in 2010.
I attended Campbell University School of Law and graduated with a J.D. in 2017. While at Campbell, I was President of the Campbell Law Innocence Project and served on the Student Bar Association. I started as an Associate Attorney at Tarlton Polk PLLC but returned to Eastern North Carolina in 2018 to begin my career as an Assistant Public Defender, where I have served for the last six years. I am currently the President of the Pitt County Bar Association.
TOGETHER we can bring common sense to Raleigh.
I live in “The Pines” in Ayden with my beautiful, supportive girlfriend Michelle. I volunteer on the board of Ayden Golf Club and serve on the East Carolina University Board of Visitors. I’m invested in Eastern North Carolina and look forward to serving you in Raleigh!
